the old Kenmore's broiler is below the oven, you slide out the broiler tray contraption for access, I had the chiles on a rack over a cookie sheet, worrying initially that the peppers might be too close to the gas flame. Actually had the thermostat set around 500 degrees rather than the full-on broil and I couldn't have asked for better results, as you'll see... <<< chiles charred to perfection >>> |
