whilst we were driving around doing various and sundry things,

& I had the day away from the j-o-b, but now I am back on
the early Am shift, 7-3, for who knows how long, and, well,
we did get a little bit spoiled there for a bit...

ooooh, it was a very nice weekend...
spring definitely in the air; Saturday a bit breezily cool,
Sunday a nearly perfect day, cloudless, warm, very little breeze.
       
so after some yardwork in the Am, pal John C. stops by, bearing gifts,
working a jobsite of new hotel under construction, he has some nice plants
left over from the landscaping, and thought "hey JP could use these..."
then we cleaned up a bit and prepped for visitors & the NBA All-Star game,
and fun, yes, we had a leetle bit of fun, Michael's own bad self was there,
and we got to watch him screw up a dunk, the usual flashy passing and lack of
defense was the order of the day, and the West shot out the lights, won the game...
Kobe got booed and wonders why, well, it was Philly, but this could also be why.
we also had nice long phone con w/la familia,
got the lowdown on the great grades achieved by
young Matt & Mike, sons of brother Dave, plus the
big news that young Matt had just taken 5th place in
state wrestling finals (Matt's a 6th grader) which made
everybody proud, including the grandmomz & grandpopz...
a hellofafineweekend, hope yours was a good one too

what a treat to be tip-toeing hither & yon in cyberville,
and discovering something that inspires great memory.

The good stuff, though, well, you have to pay for that, and there are two articles published this month worth the price of the magazine. One is a lengthy examination of the relationship between Cheney & Rumsfield, opened my eyes as to how far back it goes, as well as that of many of the other major players in the current administration. I am linking to an excerpt from a story on Mel Gibson and the new film of his coming soon to a theatre near you, as part of that item struck something within me enough to motivate my sharing it with all of you; read it, please.
